በሱልልታ ከተማ አየር ላይ ከደብረዘይት የተነሱ የታጠቁ ወታደሮችን የጫኑ ሂሊኮፕተሮች በማንዣበብ ላይ ይገኛሉ::በምእራብ ሸዋ ሜታ ሮቢ የፓርላማ ተወዳዳሪ የነበረው የኢላ አሙማ ሁለተኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤት አስተማሪ ታደሰ ጸጋዬ ከሕወሓት ወታደሮች በተተኮሰ ጥይት መገደሉ ታውቋል::
በሱሉልታ ከተቃውሞው ጋር ግንኙነት ያሌላቸው 200 የወን ሰራተኞች በሕወሕት ወታደሮች ተይዘው ተውስደዋል::ሕዝቡ ተቃውሞውን እንደቀጠለ ነው::በአዲስ አበባ በዳግማዊ ምንሊክ ሆስፒታል በኦሮሚያ ክልል በሕወሓት የተገደሉትን ተማሪዎች ሃዘናቸውን ለመግለጸ የተሰበሰቡ የሆስፒታሉ ዶክተሮች እና ነርሶች በአገዛዙ ፖሊሶች ታፍሰው ተወስደዋል::የስዊዲን መንግስት በኢትዮጵያ የኦሮሚያ የሰብዓዊ መብት ጥሰት ጉዳይ ላይ የአውሮፓ ህብረት ኮሚሽን የጋራ አቋም እንዲይዝ ጥሪ አቀረበ። ዛሬ በአራዳ ካንጋሮ ፍርድ ቤት በርካታ እስረኞች ያመለጡ ሲሆን ከፍተኛ ቶክስ እንደነበር ተሰምቷል::
ተቃውሞው ቀጥሎ በወለጋ ኦብዲ በምእራብ ሸዋ ሜታ ሮቢ እጅግ ከፍተኛ ተቃውሞ በመሰማት ላይ ይግኛል::እንዲሁም በተለያዩ ዩንቨርስቲዎች ለሊቱን ወያኔ በተለያዩ ብሄሮች መካከል ሊያነሳ ያቀደውን ግጭት የከሸፈበት ሲሆን የኦሮሞን ሕዝብ የሚያንቋሽሹ ጽሁፎች በካምፓሶች ውስጥ በተለያዩ ቦታዎች ለጥፎ ያደረ ቢሆን የሚሰማው አጥቷል::ሕብረተሰቡ ይህ ሊወድቅ የተቃረበውን የበሰበሰ አገዛዝ የከፋፍለህ እና የአጋጭተግ ግዛ ዲስኩሩን እና ተንኮሉን ሳይሰማ ባለን አቅም ሁሉ በጋራ ቆመን በአንድነት ከስልጣን በማባረር ሕዝባዊ መንግስት በመመስረት ሕዝብን የስልጣን ባለቤት ማድረግ ይገባናል::

I agree with you only that fighting Woyane is a noble cause not because they came from Tigray, but they destroy our nation (Ethiopia). I also agree to some extent that most of Oromifa speaking students are against Woyane dictatorial rule and we must commend them. However, I respectfully differ with the whole tenets of this uprising for the reason that it is hijacked by extreme elements such as OLF and Muslim fanatics such as Juhar Mohammed. The other problem of the uprising is not so different than TPLF policy which is ethnic nature of the struggle. The Oromo students for a reason one can’t justify excluded themselves from the broader Ethiopian students which is a reminder of Eritrean and Tigrean students during the 1970s student movement. Therefore, the current development is worrisome and the silence of other students is by itself a message Oromo students has to listen to.
Opposing Woyane is one thing and organizing a struggle on ethnic line is another one. Such move simply alienate Oromos from their Ethiopian brothers and sisters which in turn will be used as a tool for Woyane divide and rule business as usual.
Therefore, we have to recalibrate the struggle as an Ethiopian struggle than an Oromo one and win the full participation of Ethiopians across the board so as to send Woyane to the dust bins of history. In this ever integrated and interconnected world, ethnic politics is retrogressive and detrimental to the Oromo itself. One has to figure out how the border issue will be settled with an Oromia state having a border with almost all of the 70 plus ethnic groups. It is totally crazy to think about in the first place. In politics one should know that a bigger neighbor is like a thorn on the side. Therefore, it is quite naive to ignore all this dozens of mini states will allow Oromia to dominate them. That means if Oromia declared as a new independent nation, then it has to be prepared for long long perpetual war and instability in the coming centuries. Then come a question. Who will shoulder that sacrifice? It is simple, the children and grandchildren of yours and mine! Is that worth fighting for ethnic enclaves that will definitely lead us to perpetual war? Only An insane person will say yes.
Come down to earth and got off that ethnic ego and think what is ideal and better for the people of Oromo within the Ethiopian context. A fairer Ethiopia by the people for the people is an achievable and durable solution to extricate all of us from the shackles of tyranny. It is cost effective, progressive and acceptable by all stake holders. Look at Eritrea or South Sudan just in our immediate vicinity. Even if they succeeded to be independent, they are in a complete mess. Non of these countries achieved democratic, economic or political gain. Within an ethnic South Sudan, a sub-ethnic war has emerged. The country is now in 17th century while the rest of the world is talking about the 22nd. Eritrea is one of the failed state just on life support by the barrel of gun. It is just a matter of time that it will be sucked into ethnic as well as religious (sectarian) conflict. Then, let me ask you that will ordinary Eritreans and South Sudanese benefited with independence struggle they paid dearly? Of course, NOT!
Let’s think as an adult and do not allow emotions dictate our reasoning power. We shall opt for a solution which is cost effective and durable by reorienting the ethnic nature of the struggle into a national all encompassing one – a win-win solution!!!
