ደቡብ ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ የተለያዩ ብሔሮች አሉ። አብዛሀኛዎቹ በዞናቸው የየራሳቸውን ቛንቛ ይጠቀማሉ፤ ሲዳማ ሲዳምኛ፣ ሀዲያ ሀዲያኛ፣ ወላይታ ወላይትኛ ወዘተ… ጉራጌ ዞን ግን አማርኛን ይጠቀማል። ለመሆኑ ጉራጌዎች ይህን ያደረጉት ለአማራ ብለው ነው? “አማራ ንግዱን ሁሉ ስለተወልን እንደማካካሻ አማርኛ እንጠቀም” ብለው ነው? አይደለም!! በፍጹም አይደለም!!
ጉራጌ የሚባለው አካባቢ የብዙ ጎሳዎች ጥርቅም ነው። እነዚህም

ከነዚህ ውስጥ ማርቆ እና ቀቤና ኩሺቲክ ናቸው። ሴሜቲኮቹም የየራሳቸው ቛንቛ፣ ባህል እና ታሪክ አላቸው። ለምሳሌ መስቃን እና ክስታኔ የሚግባቡት በአማርኛ ነው። አንዳንዶቹም በዩዲት ጉዲት ጊዜ ከአክሱም ወደ ሸዋ ዝዋይ የተሰደዱ ናቸው። ብዙ ጊዜ የጉራጌ ዘፈን፣ አለባበስና ጭፈራ ተብሎ የምናየው የሰባት ቤቱን ብቻና ብቻ ነው። ለዚህም ይመስላል ወለኔ እና ቀቤና እራሳቸውን ከስብስቡ የማግለል ጥያቄ (ልዩ ወረዳ ለመሆን) እያቀረቡ ያሉት።
ከኦሮሞ መስፋፋት በፊት አማራና ሀዲያ ድንበርተኞች እንደነበሩ Paul Henze እና ኘሮፌሰር በየነ ጴጥሮስ ጽፈዋል። ይህ ማለት አሁን ጉራጌ የሚባለው አካባቢ የአማራ ደቡብ ምዕራባዊ ግዛትና አንጡራ ርስት ነው ማለት ነው። ሴሜቲኩ ጉራጌ የአማራ ነገድ ነው። አማራ ነው።
ሀያሉ ንጉሥ አፄ አምደጽዮን በ14ኛው ክ/ዘመን የአሁኑን ጉራጌ-አማራዎችን ከደዋሮ ሱልጣኔቶች አድኗቸዋል። አፄ ሱስኒዮስ ደግሞ በ17ኛዉ ክ/ዘመን ከጎንደር በራስ ስብሐት የሚመራ ተወርዋሪ ጦር በመላክ ከኦሮሞ ተስፋፊዎች የአሁኑን ጉራጌ-አማራዎች አትርፈዋል። “ጉራጌ” የሚለውን ስም መጀመሪያ የተጠቀሙት አፄ ሱሰኒዮስ ናቸው፤ በግራ አቅጣጫ ያለው ሀገሬ ለማለት ( ሰላምጌ፣ አምባላጌ፣ እቴጌ፣ አላጌ እንዲል)። አፄ ምኒልክ ወደ ምስራቅ አቅጣጫ አገር ሲያቀኑ “አባታችን ወደኛም ኑልን፣ ድረሱልን” የሚል ደብዳቤ ከጉራጌ-አማራዎች እንደደረሳቸው ጳውሎስ ኞኞ “የአፄ ምኒልክ ደብዳቤዎች” በሚለው መጽሐፉ አስነብቧል።
ስለዚህ አሁን ጉራጌ የሚባለው አካባቢ የሚኖሩ የተለያዩ ጎሳዎች ከሦስት መቶ ዓመታት በፊት ጥርት ያሉ አማራ መሆናቸውን አውቀው ‘አማራ ነን’ ማለት ቢጀምሩ እውነት አላቸው። የአማራነት ሥነልቦና እና መጎናፀፊያ ቢላበሱ ያምርባቸዋል፣ ለወደፊቱም ዋስትና ይሆናቸዋል፣ የአማራ ነገሥታቶቻቸው መስዋዕትነትም በከንቱ አልቀረም ማለት ነው።

2. Amharic is not the language of a tribe, it developed from a number of other languages.
The people in Shewa, Begemder, Gojam and Wello used to speak OTHER LANGUAGES before adopting Amharic, that we could also call Ethiopic.

አማራ የሚባል ጎሳ የለም።በወያኔ ፕሮፓጋንዳ የተፈጠረ መርዝ ነው።አማራ በኢትዮጵያዊነት ታንጾ የወጣ በመሆኑ፣ ያንን ሕንጻ ለማፍረስ ወያኔ ለወደቀ ፖለቲካው እንዲያመቸው የመነዘረው ጎሳ ነው።በምንም ሂሳብ ቢመነዘር አማራን ከኢትዮጵያዊነት ሌላ ዘር የለውም።አንዳዱ በኢትዮጵያዊነት ተቃቅፎ መቆም ብሎም መታገል ስላቃተው፣ የወያኔ አጀንዳ ለማስፈጽም አማራን በጎሳነት ማደራጀት በኢትዮጵያ ታሪክ ላይ ማላገጥ ይሆናል።መሳይ የመታው ከብሮ ይኸው ነው።የአማራን አንድ ወጥ ኢትዮጵያዊነቱን ክዶ በዘር መነዘርው።በሁለተኛ ደረጃ ደግሞ ጉራጌውን ከፋፈለው።አንዳዴ ጥራዝ ነጠቅነት ምን ያህል ሰውን እንደሚያደነቁር ልብ ብላችኋል? መሳይ በቅጡ ያተረዳውን የኢትዮጵያ ታሪክ አውቃለው ብሎ ሰበር ዜና ሲያደርገው?? ለመሆኑ የመሳይ ጽሁፍ በአሁኑ ሰዓት አስፈላጊ ነው?ወያኔ መከፋፈያ ዘዴ እየጠበበበት በመጣ ሰሞን መሳይ እንዲሂ የወረደ ማመልከቻ ምን አጻፈው? እውነት የዛሬው የኢትዮጵያ ችግር የጎሳ ፋቢሪካ ነው? ለዛውም ቢሆን የወሮሞ ሊሕቃን ለውያኔ ሥራውን እየሰሩለት ነው።
