በዘንድሮው ድርቅ ምክንያት የደረሰው የምግብ እጥረት በምንም ዓይነት ከ1975ቱ ጋር የሚመሳሰል አይደለም ሲል ለንደን የሚገኘው የኢትዮጵያ ኤምባሲ አስታውቋል፡፡ ኤምባሲው ትናንት ባወጣው መግለጫው በተጨባጭ ያለው ሁኔታ ምዕራባዊያን የዜና አውታሮች እያወጡ ካሏቸው ዘገባዎች ጋር ተቃራኒ ነው ብሏል፡፡
