በመጀመሪያ የሄድኩት ወደ ካናዳ ቶሮንቶ ነበር። በዚያ የሰሜን አሜሪካ የስፖርት ፌስቲቫል ይካሄድ ነበር፡፡ በፌስቲቫሉ ላይ ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ስላለው ሁኔታ ንግግር እንዳደርግ አንድ ማህበር ጋብዞኝ ነው የሄድኩት፡፡ እኔ ከሄድኩ በኋላ በአጠቃላይ በሃገር ውስጥ ያሉ ነገሮች እየተለዋወጡ መጡ። ስለዚህም ለኢትዮጵያውያን፣ ለአሜሪካና ለካናዳ መንግስት ባለስልጣናት እንዲሁም ለተለያዩ የሲቪክ ማህበራትና ለሰብአዊ መብት ተሟጋቾች፤በኢትዮጵያ እየደረሰ ያለውን የጅምላ እስርና ግድያ እንዲያውቁ አድርገናል፡፡ ለወደፊትም መፍትሄው ምን መሆን እንዳለበት ከሚመለከታቸው አካላት በተለይም የኢህአዴግ ወዳጅ ከሆኑ ከሁለቱ ሃገራት መንግስታት ጋር ለመነጋገር ችለናል፡፡
ውይይታችሁ ምን ላይ ነበር ያተኮረው?
መንግስት ነገሮች ከቁጥጥሩ ውጪ እየወጡበት እንደሆነ በስፋት ተነጋግረናል፡፡ ቀደም ሲል ስንሄድ የምንነጋገረው ስለ ጋዜጠኞች እስር፣ ስለ ፖለቲከኞች እንግልትና እስር ነበር፡፡ አሁን ግን ተቀይሯል፡፡ በቀን ስንት ሰው ሞተ? የሚል ጥያቄና መረጃ ነው የሚሰማው፡፡ ከጊዜ ወደ ጊዜ የኢትዮጵያ ሁኔታ አሣሣቢ እየሆነ ነው፡፡ አስቸጋሪ ወደ ሆነ ሁኔታ እየገባን ስለሆነ እነዚህን ነገሮች በስፋት አንስተን ተነጋግረናል፡፡ ለካናዳና ለአሜሪካ መንግስታት በዚህ ጉዳይ ላይ እኔም ዶ/ር መረራም በስፋት አስረድተናል። በካናዳ ከውጭ ጉዳይ መስሪያ ቤት ሰዎች ጋር ተነጋግሬያለሁ፣ ከሌሎች ከፍተኛ ባለስልጣናት ጋርም ተወያይቻለሁ። በአሜሪካ ከውጭ ጉዳይ መስሪያ ቤት ሰዎችና ከቪዛ ክፍል ሃላፊዎች ጋር ተነጋግሬአለሁ፡፡ በካናዳ የኢትዮጵያ ልማት ተራድኦ ድርጅት ዳይሬክተርንም አነጋግሬያለሁ፡፡ በአሜሪካ የውጭ ጉዳይ ቋሚ ሴኔት ጋር ለመነጋገር ችያለሁ፡፡ በኋላም ከዶ/ር መረራ ጋር ሆነን፣አትላንቲክ ካውንስል በሚባል የውይይት አደራጅ ቡድን አማካኝነት የአደባባይ ምሁራን ከሚባሉት እንዲሁም ከአሜሪካ መንግስት የውጭ ጉዳይና ከኮንግረስ የተውጣጡ ሰዎች ሆነው፣ የኢትዮጵያን አጠቃላይ ወቅታዊ ሁኔታና የወደፊት እጣ ፈንታን በተመለከተ ንግግር አድርገናል፡፡ እኔም ዶ/ር መረራም ስለ ጉዳዩ በስፋት አብራርተናል፡፡
የአሜሪካ ባለስልጣናት አሁን ስላለው የሃገሪቱ ጉዳይ ተጨባጭ ዕውቀትና ግንዛቤ አላቸው?
የቁርጠኝነት ጉዳይ ነው እንጂ በቂ ግንዛቤ አላቸው፡፡ ይሄን የሚያውቁበት የተለያዩ መንገዶች አላቸው፡፡ ከኤምባሲው በየቀኑ መረጃ ያገኛሉ፡፡ መድረኩን ልዩ የሚያደርገው በአሜሪካ መንግስት የተለያዩ መዋቅር ውስጥ ሁነኛ ቦታ ያላቸው ሰዎች መገኘታቸውና ሰብሰብ ብለው የኛን ጉዳይ ማዳመጣቸው ሲሆን ይሄም ጉዳዩ የበለጠ ትኩረት እንዲያገኝ ረድቶታል፡፡ በመድረኩ ላይ ለወደፊት ምን ታስባለችሁ ተብለን ስንጠየቅ፣ የኛ ምላሽ የነበረው አሁን ባለው ሁኔታ ኢህአዴግ ብቻውን የሚፈታው ነገር እንደሌለ፣ ህዝብም በተለያየ ሁኔታ ተቃውሞውን እየገለፀ ያለው ይሄን ችግር ይፍታልን በሚል ሳይሆን ኢህአዴግን ይሁንታ የመንሳት አይነት መሆኑን ጠቁመን፣ ይሄ ደግሞ በቀላሉ የሚታከም ባለመሆኑ፣የባለአደራ መንግስት ተቋቁሞ ለዲሞክራሲ አስፈላጊ የሆነ ተቋማትን ለ1 ዓመት ተኩል ያህል በማስተካከል፣የፖለቲካ ቡድኖች ተወዳድረው ስልጣን የሚይዙበትን መንገድ ማመቻቸት አስፈላጊ መሆኑን ነው፡፡ ከዚህ ውጭ የሚደረግ ጊዜያዊ የጥገና ለውጦች አገሪቱ አሁን ላለችበት ችግር መፍትሄ የሚሰጥ እንዳልሆነ ተናግረናል፡፡ ይሄን ሃሳብ በሚገባ እንዲይዙትም አድርገናል፡፡
የእነሱስ ምላሽ ምን ነበር?
አንድ መገንዘብ ያለብን ነገር፣ የትግሉና የጉዳዩ ባለቤት የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ነው፡፡ የእነሡ ድጋፍ ብቻ ነው ሊሆን የሚችለው፡፡ እኛ ችግሩን በሚገባ ነግረናቸዋል፡፡ “ኢህአዴግ የልብ ወዳጃችሁ እንደሆነ እናውቃለን፤ ‹ኢሳያስና አቶ መለስን ከቅኝ ግዛት በኋላ የመጡ የአዲሱ ትውልድ አመራሮች› እያላችሁ ታሞኳሻቸው ነበር፡፡ ነገር ግን አሁን ኤርትራ የት ነው ያለችው? ኢትዮጵያ ምን ደረጃ ላይ ናት? ይሄን ገምግሙ” ብለናቸዋል፡፡ ኢህአዴግ ብቻውን ያለውን ችግር አይፈታውም፡፡ ይህ ከሆነ ደግሞ የራሳችሁንም ጥቅም ልታጡ ትችላላችሁ፡፡ የምትረዱን ለኛ ብቻ ሳይሆን ለራሳችሁም ጥቅም ጭምር ነው ብለን አስረድተናቸዋል፡፡ በእናንተ የተለሳለሰ ፖሊሲ ምክንያት ብዙ ሀገር ፈርሷል፡፡ ኢትዮጵያ በቀጠናው ጠንከር ያለ ታሪክ ያለው ህዝብ ሀገር ነች፤የአህጉሩ መቀመጫ ነች … የዚህች ሀገር መረጋጋት አቅሙ ለእናንተ ነው፡፡ ችግሮች ተባብሰው ሀገሪቱ ከመፍረሷ በፊት አንድ ነገር አድርጉ ብለን በትኩረት ነግረናቸዋል፡፡ እነሱም ጥያቄ እየጠየቁን በጥሞና ሰምተውናል፡፡
ለሀገሪቱ ወቅታዊ ችግር መፍትሄው ምንድን ነው ይላሉ?
መፍትሄው አጭርና ግልፅ ነው፡፡ የባለአደራ መንግስት ማቋቋም ብቻ ነው፡፡ ኢህአዴግ አሁን ከባድ የቅቡልነት ችግር አለበት፤ህዝቡ የሚያነሳቸው ጥያቄዎች “ኢህአዴግ በቃን” ወደሚል ተሻግሯል፡፡ ጥገናዊ ለውጦች አድርጌ የህዝብ ይሁንታ አገኛለሁ እያለ ቢሆንም ህዝቡ እስከ ህይወት መስዋዕትነት ድረስ እየከፈለ ያለው መሰረታዊ ለውጥ ስለፈለገ ነው፡፡ ስለዚህ ሀገሪቱን ከቀጣይ ጥፋት ለማዳን የባለአደራ መንግስት መቋቋም አለበት፡፡ ከዚያ ውጪ የሀገሪቱን ሁኔታ ሊያረጋጋ የሚችል ነገር እንደሌለ እኔ በአፅንኦት ነው የምናገረው፡፡
የባለአደራ መንግስት ሲሉ ምን ማለትዎ ነው? ማን ነው የሚያቋቁመው?
ከሀገር ሽማግሌዎች፣ ከሲቪል ተቋማት፣ ከታዋቂ ሰዎች፣ ከተለያዩ የህብረተሰብ ክፍሎች የተውጣጣ ነው የሚሆነው፡፡ ባለአደራ ማለት ለጊዜው ስልጣኑ በሚመለከታቸው የፖለቲካ ቡድኖች እስከሚያዝ ድረስ ሀገር በአስቸጋሪ ሁኔታ ውስጥ ስለሆነች፣ የጦር ኃይሉ ባለበት ሆኖ የሲቪል አስተዳደሩ በባለአደራው ይተካል ማለት ነው። በ1 ዓመት ተኩል ጊዜ ውስጥ ነፃ ምርጫ ቦርድ፣ የሰብአዊ መብት ተቋማት፣ ነፃ ሚዲያ፣ ነፃ የፖለቲካ ቡድኖች … ይቋቋሙና ሥልጣኑን በምርጫ አሸናፊ ለሆነ ቡድን ያስረክባል ማለት ነው፡፡
ኢህአዴግ ስር ነቀል ህዳሴ አደርጋለሁ፤ ችግሮችንም እፈታለሁ ብሏል፡፡ ይሄንንስ እንዴት ያዩታል?
አሁን ባለው ሁኔታ ሚኒስትር በማባረርና በመሾም የሚለወጥ ነገር የለም፡፡ ጥያቄው መረር ያለ ነው፡፡ ኢህአዴግ በባህሪው የሚታደስ ድርጅት አይደለም፡፡ የመድብለ ፓርቲ ስርአትን በሙሉ ልቡ የተቀበለ ድርጅት ስላልሆነ አይታደስም፡፡ ማዕከላዊነት የበዛበት፣ ተቀናቃኞቹን እንደ ጠላት የሚቆጥር፣ ጠንከር ያሉ ትችቶች የሚያቀርቡ ሚዲያዎችን የዘጋ … ስለሆነ እነዚህ ባህሪያቱ ለመሻሻል እድል አይሰጡትም፡፡ አንድ ስርአት ለመሻሻል ነጻ ሚዲያ፣ የሲቪል ተቋማት፣ ተቀናቃኝ የፖለቲካ ቡድኖች ነፃነት —- መኖር አለበት፡፡ ኢህአዴግ እነዚህ ስለሌሉት፣ተጠያቂነትን አስፍኖ ሊሻሻል የሚችል ድርጅት አይደለም፡፡
በአሁኑ ወቅት የተቃዋሚ ፓርቲዎች ሚና ምን መሆን አለበት?
እንደዚህ ባለ አስቸጋሪ ወቅት ያለውን ነባራዊ ሁኔታ፣ ለአለም ማህበረሰብና ለገዥው ፓርቲ ማሳወቅና መፍትሄውን ማመላከት ይጠበቅባቸዋል። ተቃዋሚዎች ሃሳብ ማፍለቅ አለባቸው፡፡ ህዝብ የሚያነሳቸውን ጥያቄዎች የፍልስፍና እና የአይዲኦሎጂ መልክ አስይዞ፣ ምን መሆን እንዳለበት የማመላከት ኃላፊነትም አለባቸው፡፡

Both individuals do not seem to be fully aware of two things, at least.
1. The treacherous nature of Woyane Tigres, the criminal traitors can never be reformed. Dealing with these murderers is like making a truce with a killer cobra.

2. Complete lack of cognizance of the nature of Western governments.
The countries which the two gentlemen visited are not oblivious to the

USA and Canada have been forefront in supporting a tribal regime of a tiny minority ethnic group representing at best 5% of Ethiopia’s population.
They know damn well how they have virtually marginalized the preponderant majority of Ethiopians. They know how Tigres have disenfranchised the nation, how they plunder the nation. They are aware of how Tigres have established an apartheid system that has entitled them to appropriate whatever they wanted from annexing lands from Gondar and Wollo to thrusting a Tigre identity on reluctant others.

It is not difficult to guess what the ferenjis want when they see the nearing of the collapse of their puppet. They for example want that what they have done in Ethiopia the last 25 years and earlier (actually a horrible crime) to be viewed as something positive in post-TPLF era. For that reason, among others, they rather dont want Ethiopian patriots to replace TPLF, they prefer either tribalists or those who are not that much opposed to tribalism. That is why Meiad and Andinet were not invited to that meeting few weeks ago and why they want TPLF included in a transition government. All their efforts are to minimize the role of Ethiopian patriots as much as possible. The ferenjis hope also that that way, that means by minimizing the role of patriotic Ethiopians, they will be able to reduce the backlash against their horrible crimes in Ethiopia in the past 25 years as sponsors of TPLF.

What do we really value most? Ether the ruling party or the people of Ethiopia barely live a life. Life is only meaningful in the absence of fear and animosity, with harmony,mutual respect, triquelity, personal and social responsibility.
Accountable politicians (parties) and democratic political order is essentual.
Obviously,the Ethiopian people believe, the current political practice in breach of the trust of the people has become wildly corrupt and selfish.

Ether moving out Tegray orgin or inviting the Somalian region for help is childish tactic of disinformation. Pls do not undermine and degrade the intellegence of the Ethiopian people. At least try to make it subtle and politically professional.
Personally, I wish The politicians wised up and concentrated on reform and peaceful change.

In international law, odious debt, also known as illegitimate debt, is a legal theory that holds that the national debt incurred by a regime for purposes that do not serve the best interests of the nation, should not be enforceable. Such debts are, thus, considered by this doctrine to be personal debts of the regime that incurred them and not debts of the state. In some respects, the concept is analogous to the invalidity of contracts signed under coercion.
The doctrine was formalized in a 1927 treatise by Alexander Nahum Sack,[1] a Russian émigré legal theorist, based upon 19th-century precedents including Mexico’s repudiation of debts incurred by Emperor Maximilian’s regime, and the denial by the United States of Cuban liability for debts incurred by the Spanish colonial regime.
According to Sack:
When a despotic regime contracts a debt, not for the needs or in the interests of the state, but rather to strengthen itself, to suppress a popular insurrection, etc, this debt is odious for the people of the entire state. This debt does not bind the nation; it is a debt of the regime, a personal debt contracted by the ruler, and consequently it falls with the demise of the regime. The reason why these odious debts cannot attach to the territory of the state is that they do not fulfil one of the conditions determining the lawfulness of State debts, namely that State debts must be incurred, and the proceeds used, for the needs and in the interests of the State. Odious debts, contracted and utilised for purposes which, to the lenders’ knowledge, are contrary to the needs and the interests of the nation, are not binding on the nation – when it succeeds in overthrowing the government that contracted them – unless the debt is within the limits of real advantages that these debts might have afforded. The lenders have committed a hostile act against the people, they cannot expect a nation which has freed itself of a despotic regime to assume these odious debts, which are the personal debts of the ruler.
Patricia Adams, executive director of Probe International (an environmental and public policy advocacy organisation in Canada), and author of Odious Debts: Loose Lending, Corruption, and the Third World’s Environmental Legacy, has stated that:
by giving creditors an incentive to lend only for purposes that are transparent and of public benefit, future tyrants will lose their ability to finance their armies, and thus the war on terror and the cause of world peace will be better served.

That would mean the recognition of odious debt and the landlocked status of the country, but it is in Ethiopian intetest to reject both.

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte says he is opposed to US soldiers being stationed in the southern Mindanao region, recalling how American troops took part in a pacification plan against Muslim Filipinos going back over a century. He said that this has caused a long period of resentment from the minority Muslim population against a majority of Catholics in the south.
“For as long as we stay with America, we will never have peace in that land,” Duterte said on Monday, as cited by the AP.
He displayed some black and white photographs dating from the early 1900s that showed women and children that had been killed by US forces. ”
