Although the author demands for a political discussion on the matter, I would like to interject some technical questions.
First, does the author speak Oromiffa? Or is he a linguist? If his answers to these questions is “no”, then discussing the matter any further is a waste of time, beacuse discussing a subject one has no ideas is a futile exercise.
I he does speak Oromiffa, I would ask him or any one else to translate the following Oromiffa sentence written in Geez Fidel:
„ካራ እራ ባነ“
Does it mean: 1) We went out onto the street; 2) He opened the gate (for someone); 3) We got lost; 4) We carried something along the street; 5) He(or We) meant the road (or the gate); 6) All of the above and more?
If you think the above sentence is a freak coincidence, think twice! I can give examples of pairs or triplets or even quartets of words with different meanings having the same transcription in Fidel. Moreover, verb forms (tenses) often differ only through intonation, making the use of Fidel impossible.
Try to find out the senses of the following sentences:

One can find a technical solution to a political problem. I have never heard of a political solution to a technical problem. Failing to grasp this simple fact, you Abyssinian elites are still beating the political dead horse. Please dismount and move on. As is amply demonstrated above, what type of characters to use to write Oromiffaa is a technical problem. The Oromo have found the best solution for it – Qubee. No amount of political haranguing can help here.

Read my comment again! “Awuqoo yetenya!” I am not going to teach you Afan oromo in a few words. I left out how the example sentences would be written as an exercise for you. You do not speak Oromiffa, but you keep beating the political drum.
eg. The 3 words ጋላ in the 1st sentence can be written as Gaala (Camel); Galaa (Amh – Sinq); Gala ( return journey). The 3 words have different sounds and different meanings. Not a single word with 3 meanings, as you want to portray.
Derg was printing the newspaper ‘Barrisa’ using fidel, but few used to read it, not only beacuse of the politics. The bible was translated into oromiffa in 1899 (the Swedish misionaries wanted to use Latin even then, but Minilik forbade them) but few could use it, because of the above problem.

Double vowels are only to indicate that the syllables are long!
Eg. “Gaala” is not ጋአላ, it indicates only long ጋ. Single vowel eg. “Gala” indicates short syllables. Unlike Amharic, in which each basic sound has 7 variants (eq. Ha, hu, hii, haa, hee, hi, ho), oromiffa has upto ten!
Some Oromiffa spelling conventions, for your info:
C – ጨ (eg. Caccabsaa) but Ch – ቸ (as in Church)
D – ደ (as in drama) Dh – ደ (special Oromiffa sound as in ‘dhadhaa’ – butter)
