ሰሞኑን ሻለቃ ኃይሌ ገ/ሥላሴ ለአንድ የውጪ ጋዜጠኛ “ዲሞክራሲ (መስፍነ ሕዝብ) ለአፍሪካ አያስፈልጋትም! ለአፍሪካ የሚያስፈልጋት መልካም አሥተዳደር ነው!” ብሎ መናገሩን ሰምተናል፡፡ እንደሰማንም በእጅጉ አፍረናል ተሸማቀናልም፡፡ እኔ በበኩሌ “እንዲያው ይሄ ሰውየ እያሰበና ነገሮችን በቅጡ ተረድቶ ተገንዝቦ ገብቶት መናገር የማይችል ከሆነ ምናለ ዝም ቢል ባይናገርስ!” ብያለሁ፡፡
ይሄንን ንግግሩን “አይ እሱ ለማለት የፈለገው…” ብለን ልንለው የምንችለው ምንም ሌላ ነገር የለውም፡፡ በማያሻማ ንግግር ጥርት አድርጎ ነው የተናገረው፡፡ ትንሽ ግራ የሚያጋባው ያለ ዲሞክራሲ (መስፍነ ሕዝብ) እንዴት ተብሎ መልካም አሥተዳደር ሊመጣ እንደሚችልና እንዴት ሊነጣጠሉ እንደሚችሉ ማሰቡ ነው፡፡ ኃይሌ ሆይ! መልካም አሥተዳደር ሲባል ለአንተ ምን ማለት ነው የሚመስልህ? ዲሞክራሲስ?
ኃይሌ በዚህ ንግግሩ ለአፍሪካዊያን ያለውን ንቀትና ጥላቻ ቁልጭ አድርጎ አሳይቷል፣ ሰድቦ ለሰዳቢ አዋርዶ ለአዋራጅ ሰጥቶናል፡፡ ምዕራባዊያን ለእኛ ለአፍሪካዊያን ስር የሰደደ ከባድ ጥላቻና ንቀት እንዳለባቸው ይታወቃል፡፡ ኃይሌ ውሎው ከእነሱ ጋር ሲሆን ጊዜ ፈረንጅ የሆነ መሰለው መሰለኝ እነሱ እኛን በሚያዩበት ዓይን ዓየንና የንቀትና የጥላቻ ጅራፉን አጮሆ ክፉኛ ሞሸለቀን፡፡ እውነትም ለካ እግር ጭንቅላት አይሆንም፡፡
እኔ የኃይሌ ስኬት እግሩና ጭንቅላቱ በመቀናጀት ያመጡት ያስገኙለት ይመስለኝ ነበር፡፡ ሰውየውን በተደጋጋሚ እንደታዘብነው ይህ ግምት የተሳሳተ እንደሆነ አሳይተውናል፡፡ ኃይሌ በዓለም አቀፍ መድረኮች ባስገኛቸው በርካታ አንጸባራቂ ድሎች አፍሪካን በእጅጉ አኩርቶ ነበር፡፡ ኃይሌ በዘረኛ ነጮች ዘንድ አፍሪካዊያን ከእኛ በእኩል ብሎም በተሻለ ሊሠሩት የሚችሉት ምንም ነገር የለም!፣ ተናጋሪ እቃ ናቸው ወዘተረፈ.” የሚለውን የተሳሳተና የደነቆረ አስተሳሰብ የተሳሳተ እንደሆነ ካረጋገጡ ብርቅየ የአፍሪካ ልጆች አንዱ ነበር፡፡ ልብ በሉ ነበር ነው ያልኩት ነው አላልኩም፡፡ ነው የሚባለው ያ ሰው የገነባውን እንደገነባ የቀረ እንደሆነ ነው፡፡ የገነባውን ካፈረሰው ግን ነው ሳይሆን የሚባለው ነበር ነው የሚባለው፡፡
ኃይሌ በዚህ ጸያፍና የደነቆረ አነጋገሩ ልክ እንደ ዘረኛ ነጮች ሁሉ አፍሪካዊያን ከሌሎቹ ሕዝቦች ጋር እኩል እንዳልሆንንና እኩል መሆንም እንደማይገባን ነግሮናል፡፡ በእውነቱ በእጅጉ እናዝናለን!
እኔ ኃይሌ “ይቻላል!” ብሎ ሲል አንድ እራሱን ብቻ ሳይሆን በብዙ ዓይነት ፈተናዎች ተኮድኩዶ የተያዘውን መላውን የጥቁር ሕዝብ እያሰበ የሚናገረው መሪ ቃል “slogan” ይመስለኝ ነበር፡፡ ለካ ሰውየው የሚመስለንን ያህል ብስል ሰው አልነበረም ላካ “ይቻላል!” ብሎ ሲል እራሱንና እራሱን ብቻ በማሰብ ኖሯል ይሄንን ወርቃማ ቃል ይናገር የነበረው፡፡
አሁን ኃይሌ ይቻላልን ወደ አይቻልም ቀይሮታል፡፡ ወደፊት ኃይሌ ምንም ዓይነት ኪሳራ ቢደርስበት ከዚህ በላይ ኪሳራ ይደርስበታል ብየ አንገምትም፡፡ ወዳጅነቱም ከአንባገነን የአፍሪካ መሪዎች ጋር ነው እንጅ ከመከረኛና ጭቁን የአፍሪክ ሕዝብ ጋር አይሆንም፡፡
ዛሬ ኃይሌ ፈረንጅ ነው ይህ የተናገረው ጸያፍ የድፍረትና የንቀት ቃልም እሱን አይመለከትም፡፡ ምናልባት ወደፊት እራሱን በትኩረት ለመመልከት የሚያስችል አቅልና ዕድል ካገኘ አካሉ ጥቁር አፍሪካዊ መሆኑን ያይና በተናገረው ነገር ያፍር ይሸማቀቅም ይሆናል፡፡
“ሲያልቅ አያምር” አሉ ትላንትና በኮራንበት ወገናችን ዛሬ አፍረንበታልና ኃዘን ተሰምቶኛል፡፡ አፍሪካዊያን ወንድሞቻችን ይሄንን የኃይሌን ንግግር ኃይሌ ኢትዮጵያዊ በመሆኑ “ኢትዮጵያዊያን ለእኛ ለአፍሪካዊያን ንቀት አላቸው” ብለው በሚያስቡት አውድ እንደተናገረው አስበው በእሱ ስሕተት መላው ኢትዮጵያዊ የሚጠላ መሆኑን ሳስብም እራሴን ያመኛል፡፡ ልቡናውን ይስጥልና ሌላ ምን ይባላል?

It is an unfortunate statement. He not only put down Africa but also tarnished his own legacy. No one knows for sure if his comments are politically driven or if he believes in what he said. The first scenario doesn’t bother me as much as the later, which is a devastating blow to many who hope democracy is achievable in a short period of time. He probably sees himself different from us like Lil Wayne, who used to degrade and black people.
I can imagine how shocked the interviewer must have felt. Or, may be not if he already believes in the common myth and stereotypes about africa.

Saying: "Africa doesn't need democracy, what Africa needs is good governance" is rather funny and needs explanation.
But the formulation is unfortunate and contradictory.
The author didn't mention if the journalist is an evil ferenji, or what nationality he has. Why is the author hiding that information ? Is he paid by ferenjis ?
But one should consider that ferenjis or TPLF might have given money to Haile to say that. The statement is funny and could be interpreted one way or another.
Most likely CIA told Haile to say that and gave him money for that. Haile should not have agreed to say that. That he agreed to say that only shows that he is either dumb, greedy or both.
