ኢሳት ዜና :- የከተማዋ ምንጮች እንደገለጹት ጥር 11 ፣ 2008 ዓም 11 ሰዓት አካባቢ በጤና ሳይንስ ኮሌጅ ግቢ ውስጥ በተነሳው ግጭት በርካታ ተማሪዎች ተጎድተዋል።ግጭቱ ወደ ከተማው በመስፋፋቱ በርካታ ሰዎች ሲቆስሉ ፣ መኪኖችም ተሰባብረዋል። የግጭቱ መንስኤ በትክክል አልታወቀም።
የመከላከያ ሰራዊት አባላት እና የፈደራል አባላት ከተማዋን መቆጣጠራቸውን የገለጹት ነዋሪዎች፣ ግጭቱ ለጊዜው የቆመ ቢመስልም በማንኛውም ሰአት ሊነሳ ይነሳ ይችላል በሚል ከፍተኛ ስጋት አለ። ከሁለት ሳምንት በፊት ንኝያንግ በሚባለው ወረዳ በተነሳው ተመሳሳይ ግጭት 15 ሰዎች መሞታቸውን የአካባቢው ምንጮች አክለው ገልጸዋል።
