በአባይ ወንዝ አጠቃቀምና በህዳሴ ግድብ ግንባታ ሳቢያ ለ5 ዓመት እየከረረና እየረገበ የዘለቀው የኢትዮጵያና የግብፅ ግንኙነት፤ ከሰሞኑ ትኩሳት አገርሽቶበታል፡፡

የግብፁ የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትር፣ የህዳሴ ግድብ ግንባታ እንዲዘገይ ማድረግ እንችላለን በማለት እንደተናገሩ ሰኞ እለት የዘገቡ አልጀዚራና ምስር ጆርናል፤ የኢትዮጵያ የውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትር በበኩላቸው፤ “ግብፅ ኢትዮጵያን የመውረር አቅም የላትም” በማለት ምላሽ እንደሰጡ ፅፈዋል፡፡ ይህንን ሲዘግቡም፣ መረጃውን ያገኘነው ከአዲስ አድማስ ነው ብለዋል፡፡ ነገር ግን፤ በየትኛው የአዲስ አድማስ እትም ዘገባው እንደወጣ ቀኑን አልጠቀሱም፡፡ በቅርብ ሳምንታት ካገረሸው ትኩሳት ጋር ተያይዞ፤ እንዲህ አይነት ዘገባ በአዲስ አድማስ ባይወጣም፤ የግብፅ መንግሥት፣ በግድብ ግንባታው ላይ ተቃውሞ ከማሰማት አልፎ ዛቻና ማስፈራሪያ እስከመሰንዘር እንደሚደርስ ግን በተለያዩ ጊዜያት ተዘግቧል፡፡ የጦርነት ዛቻ ተቀባይነት እንደሌለውና እንደማያዋጣ የኢትዮጵያ መንግሥት በተደጋጋሚ መግለፁም ይታወሳል፡፡ በተለይ አሁን፣ የግብፅ ትኩረት በኢኮኖሚ ፈተናዎችና በአሸባሪዎች ጥቃት ላይ መሆን ሲገባው፤ ወደ ጦርነት ዛቻ ማዘንበል እንደማያዋጣም ይገለፃል፡፡
በቅርቡ የህዳሴ ግድብ፣ በከፊል ኤሌክትሪክ ለማመንጨት ውሃ የሚያጠራቅምበት ደረጃ ላይ መድረሱ የተዘገበ ሲሆን፤ የግብፅ መንግሥት በበኩሉ፤ የግድቡ ግንባታ ለ6 ወር እንዲቋረጥ ሊጠይቅ ይችላል የሚሉ መላምቶች ተሰንዝረዋል። ካሁን በፊትም በየጊዜው ተመሳሳይ ጥያቄዎች ተሰንዝረው የነበረ ቢሆንም፤ የግድቡ ግንባታ ለአንድ ቀንም አይቋረጥም በማለት የኢትዮጵያ መንግስት ምላሽ ሰጥቷል፡፡
