ከ2002 ዓ.ም. እስከ እስከ 2007 ዓ.ም. ድረስ የፓርላማ አባል የነበሩት አቶ ግርማ ሰይፉ "ለዴሞክራሲ ሥርዓት ምን ዓይነት ፓርቲ ያስፈልገናል?" በሚል ርዕስ ያቀረቡትን ጽሁፍ ለማንበብ የጓጓሁት የአንድነት ም/ሊቀመንበር ነበሩና ከተግባር ተሞክሮአቸው በመነሳት ድክመት ጥንካሬን መለስ ብለው ቃኝተው መሆን ያለበትን ያመላክታሉ በሚል ነበር።
The problem is that the Amharas are against democracy and Development. The EPRDF is a popular and democratic government that commands the full support of the former opprssed and now free nations, nationalities and Peoples. Thanks to the EPRDF, Ethiopia is now a multi-party democratic country as a developmental state. The other African countries envy it and are ready to learn from Our country. The Amharas oppose Our democratic and popular government because they do not have the culture of tolerance and Democracy.
