The purpose of creating the “Safari Club” to “fight communism in Africa” is bullshit, for many reasons,
1. As already said the “communist threat” existed in the region already over a decade.
2. The timing of the formation of the Club,
a. shortly after (or shortly before) the expulsion of the USA from Ethiopia by Derg.
b. Shortly before the granting of independence for Djibouti by France in 1977 G.C.. According to Dr. Fisseha in a letter De Gaulle expressed France’s readiness to return back Djibouti to Ethiopia that French had leased for 99 years.
c. Shortly before the USA ordered invasion of Ethiopia by Somalia in 1977 G.C..
3. The member countries have special interests related to Ethiopia. Egypt regarding the Nile, France regarding Djibouti, Saudi Arabia regarding the spread of Islam.
4. As already said, shortly after founding of the Club the members gave orders to Somalia to invade Ethiopia, they also provided support.
But the purpose could have been even worse than just fighting Ethiopia, rather fighting African nationalism.

To answer your question i start with having a clear picture about the situation, and that is possible only by knowing the truth.
The ferenji role was huge in the past (actually the problems wouldn’t exist if there was no ferenji involvement) and the ferenji role is huge today.
TPLF came to power and is still in power thanks to ferenjis.
As a USA puppet TPLF is protected by the USA. USA has thousands of Ethiopian and of Ethiopian origin CIA agents at home and abroad involved in advancing USA interests, among others protecting puppet TPLF.
Ethiopian attempts to overthrow TPLF through elections in 2005 G.C. was likely sabotaged by the USA. As already said, the USA sabotaged the attempt because it protects its puppet. Thanks God, the ferenjis are losing power these days, and are becoming more and more irrelevant.
But in 1936 G.C. UK, USA, France and even the Soviet Union and others betrayed the principles of the then League of Nations and lifted sanctions against Fascist Italy allowing Mussolini to commit atrocities against Ethiopians.
