2. because Ethiopians have the tendency to not share important info they know with fellow Ethiopians.
I dont know why the author only asks dictators (i have yet to read the article) but the truth is most dictators in the world were put in power and supported by evil ferenjis or the USA/CIA.
In this respect USA/CIA are the worst evil to visit Africa and the rest of the non-white world.

Dictator is not equal to dictator.
Since the rise to power of Meles / TPLF ,thanks to USA/CIA support, we have two kinds of dictators,
1. dictators or normal dictators who are patriotic and
2. hater or hostile dictators who are haters of the country they rule.

There hasn’t been any patriotic dictator in Ethiopia since the ascension of Meles to Gibi. The entire entity of Woyane falls under the second category.
Per your definition, the list of “normal” dictators includes: Isayas Afewerki, Yoweri Museveni, Charles Taylor, General Sani Abacha, Kim Jong Un, Bashar Al-Assad, Aleksandr Lukashenko, Islam Karimov… These ruthless dictators came to power after 1990s and have brutally supressed and killed their own people and dismembered their country. Their unforgivable atrocities don’t earn them the label normal. A dictator is a dictator. If you feel otherwise and are so enamored with them, why do not you live there?
As a matter of, Africa doesn’t have any “normal” living leaders except may be Jakaya Kiwete & Bonita Yayi to whom I have a great respect.
