በኢትዮጵያ አቆጣጠር 1997 (2005) ለቀድሞ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስቴር መለስ ዜናዊ 200 000 ዶላር የሸለመውና ከጥቂት ሳምንታት በኋላ ደግሞ የኢትዮጵያ ብቸኛ የማዳበሪያ አቅራቢ የሆነው Yara የተባለው የኖርዌይ ኩባንያ ዳይሬክተር Thor Leif Enger በኖርዌይ ታሪክ ትልቅ በተባለው የሙስና ክስ ነገ ጠዋት Oslo ፍርድ ቤት ቀረበ ።

በጣም የሚገርመው ዳይሬክተሩ የተከሰሰው በህንድ እና ሊቢያ ጉዳይ ሲሆን Yara በእነዚህ ሁለት ሃገራት ውስጥ ባልተገባ መልኩ ጨረታ አሸንፎ ማዳበሪያ የማቅረብ ኮንትራት ያገኘበት መንገድ ለሁለቱ ሃገራት ባለሥልጣኖች ዳይረክተሩ ከጨረታው በፊት 8 ሚሊዮን ዶላር በመስጠቱ መሆኑን የዛሬው የኖርዌይ የዜና አገልግሎት NRK ተዘግቧል። ጥፋተኛ ሆኖ ከተገኘ የ71 አመቱ ቱርላይፍ ኤንገን የቀረውን ህይወቱን በእስር ቤት እንደሚያሳልፍ ታውቋል።

✦July 2005 – Mr Thorleif Enger Director of Yara awarded 200 000 USD to former P.M Meles Zenawi apparently for his steps towards increasing food production and reducing poverty
✦December 2005 The Norwegian Yara wins contracts to deliver fertilizer in Ethiopia after handing out prizes to the former PM. 30% of the income went to the ruling TPLF’s companies (EFFORT)
✦January 2014 Mr Thorleif Enger the former Director of Yara appears in court indicted for corruption after for paying over $8 million USD in bribes to win fertilizer bids in India and Libya.
