Our afternoon tea break time is at 3pm. That day, I was having a long conversation over the phone during our tea break. But I had to cut short my phone conversation and returned back to the office because the tea break was over. I have a very nice boss. He is so enabling that we even have lots of unexecuted plans in our mechanical engineering section. Even though it\u2019s only four month since I got promoted to this office, I find my boss very kind person with whom I had positive collegial relation full of mutual understanding. <\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

While I was having a work related conversation with my boss in my office, two strange people came and take me out of the office mentioning that they have something to talk to me. I had both my Facebook and twitter accounts open on my computer even though they we<\/span>re<\/span> idle.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

While walking out with these young strangers, I had a glance over my boss. One can easily read his confusion from his face. I assumed that the guys will let me go once they talked to me on the corridor. But, once I left the office, they ordered me to walk down the stairs. It by then, that I began to understand and realize, what is happening. I noticed that my boss was seeing me off while I was walking down the stairs. I lost sight of this kind man when I finished the stairs and never seen him since then. I saw two cars outside of the building. Except the two uniformed police men who were sitting in the cars, I was escorted by seven civil-wearing security people. They took away the Ethiopian Airlines employees ID that I have which is used as a pass and we left the compound. Then they ordered that we go to my house.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

The lady who rent me the house was really shocked when she saw me being escorted by all these people. I was not surprised. I can imagine how she would feel when she saw her tenant who never bothered her even once is being surrounded by the police. It was past 6pm so it was getting dark. When I opened my door they asked me for the power plug and I showed them. Immediately they plugged in their camera light and started video recording. While they were searching, they found two plastic bags under my bed and they pulled it very suspiciously. They must have thought that they found a leaflet to be disseminated. When they opened the plastic bags they found books. They picked some books. It was a quick search. <\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

That morning, I prepared egg for my breakfast. But I didn\u2019t have the appetite so I didn\u2019t eat it. Having a very busy day at the office, I was very exhausted and very hungry. I recalled the egg I prepared in the morning but I couldn\u2019t eat it. I left it as it is and escorted to Maekelawi with the guys. In another day my sister found that breakfast I prepared when she went to my house to move my stuff. <\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

While we were heading to Maekelawi, the security guys were talking to me. \u201cHow can you do this while you have such a nice job \u2026\u201d I returned to them that I did not commit any crime. I saw Natty and Atnaf when I get to Maekelawi. I feel relieved. They took me to a room where there were other prisoners. The prisoners asked me some questions about me. We understood each other. They offered me a cold shiro. Since I was very hungry I ate it without any hesitation and joined a prisoner\u2019s life.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

ከመስሪያ ቤት ቀን 9፡00 ላይ የሻይ እረፍት እንወጣለን፡፡ ያን ቀን የሻይ እረፍት ሰዓት ላይ ረዘም ላለ ጊዜ ስልክ እያወራሁ ነበር ፡፡<\/div>\n

( ከወዳጄ ማህሌት ሰለሞን ጋር ) የሻይ እረፍታችን ስላበቃ እና እኔም ስራ ስለነበረብኝ ወሬያችንን ሳንጨርስ ወዳጄን ተሰናብቼ ወደቢሮየ ገባሁ፡፡ አለቃዬ በጣም ጥሩ ሰው ነው፤ ሰርቶ ለማሰራት የሚታትር ሰው ነው፡፡ መካኒካል ኢንጅነሪንግ ላይ ብዙ ስራዎችን ለመስራት እቅድ ነበረን፡፡በደረጃ እድገት ወደዚህ ቢሮ ከተዘዋወርኩ ገና አራት ወራት ቢሆነኝም በጣም በብዙ መልኩ ተግባብተን የነበረ መልካም ሰው ነው፡፡<\/div>\n
ቢሮዬ አለቃየ ጋር ሆነን ስለስራ እየተጨዋወትን እያለ ሁለት የማላውቃቸው ሰዎች አንዴ ልናነጋግርህ ፈልገን ነበር ብለው ከቢሮ አስወጡኝ፡፡ የፌስቡክ እና ትዊተር ገጾቼ አልተቀምባቸው አንጂ ኮምፒውተሬ ላይ እንደተከፈቱ ናቸው፡፡<\/div>\n
ከሁለቱ ወጣቶች ጋር ከቢሮ ስወጣ አለቃየን አየት አደረኩት፡፡ ግር መሰኘቱ ግን ከፊቱ ላይ ይነበባል፡፡ ሰዎቹ ኮሪደር ላይ አነጋግረው ይለቁኛል የሚል ግምት ነበረኝ፡፡ ከቢሮ እንደወጣሁ ግን የህንጻውን ደረጃ እንድወርድ በትዕዛዝ ነገሩኝ፡፡ እኔም ሁኔታው ገባኝ፡፡ ደረጃውን እየወረድኩ እያለ አለቃየ ተከትሎኝ ሲያየኝ አየሁት፡፡ ደረጃውን ስጨርስ ከእይታዬ ጠፋ ያንን መልካም ሰው ከዚያ በኋላ አላየሁትም፡፡ ከህንጻው እንደወረድን ሁለት መኪኖች ቆመዋል፡፡ መኪና ውስጥ ከተቀመጡት ሁለት ፖሊሶች ውጭ ሰባት ሲቪል ያደረጉ ደህንነቶች ናቸው ያጀቡኝ፡፡ የአየር መንገዱ ሰራተኞች የይለፍ መታወቂያን (ፓስ) ተቀብለውኝ ከግቢ ወጣን፡፡ ከዚያም ወደ ቤት መሄድ እንዳለብን ስላዘዙ ወደዚያው ሄድን፡፡<\/div>\n
ቤት በእነዚያ ሁሉ ሰዎች ታጅቤ ስገባ አከራዬ በጣም ደነገጠች፡፡ ድምጼን እንኳ ሰምታው የማታውቅ ሰው በፖሊስ ታጅቤ ስገባ መደንገጧ አልገረመኝም፡፡ ሰዓቱ መሽቶ ነበር፤ 12፡00 አልፏል፡፡ ቤቴን ከፍቼ ስገባ ሶኬቱን አሳየን አሉኝ፡፡ ሶኬቱን እንዳሳየኋቸው መብራት አብርተው ቪዲዮ ካሜራ ቀረጻ ጀመሩ፡፡ እየበረበሩ እያለ ከምኝታዬ ስር በሁለት ኩርቱ ፔስታል የታሰረ ነገር አግኝተው በጥርጣሬ ሳብ አድርገው አወጡት፡፡ ሊበተን የተዘጋጀ ወረቀት ቢጤ ያገኙ መስሏቸው ነበር መሰለኝ፡፡ ፔስታሎችን ፈትተው ሲያዩዋቸው መጽሐፍት ብቻ ናቸው፡፡ ከመጽሐፎች ውስጥ መርጠው ያዙ፡፡ ፍተሻው ብዙ ጊዜ አልወሰደም፡፡<\/div>\n
ጠዋት ከቤቴ ስወጣ እንቁላል ጠብሼ ነበር፡፡ ግን አላሰኘኝም ነበርና አልበላሁትም፡፡ ቀኑን ሙሉ ስራ በዝቶብኝ ስለነበር በጣም ደክሞኝ በጣምም እርቦኝ ነበር፡፡ ቤቴ ስገባ ጠዋት የሰራሁት እንቁላል ትዝ ቢለኝም አልበላሁትም፡፡ እነዳለ ትቼው ከሰዎቹ ጋር ወደ ማዕከላዊ ተጋዝኩኝ፡፡ ሌላ ቀን እህቴ ቤቴ ሂዳ እቃ ስታወጣ የሰራሁትን እንቁላል አግኝታዋለች፡፡
ወደ ማዕከላዊ እየተወሰድኩ እያለ ደህንነቶች እያወሩኝ ነበር፡፡ ‹ያን የመሰለ ቢሮ ውስጥ እየሰራህ እንዴት…› ሲሉኝ ምንም ወንጀል እንዳልፈጸምኩ እነግራቸው ነበር፡፡ ማዕከላዊ እንደደረስኩ ናቲን እና አጥናፍን አየኋቸው፡፡ ተረጋጋሁ፡፡ ከዚያ ሌሎች እስረኞች ወዳሉበት ክፍል አስገቡኝ፡፡ እስረኞቹ አንዳንድ ጥያቄዎች ስለራሴ ጠየቁኝ፡፡ ተግባባን፡፡ ከዚያም የበረደ ሽሮ ሰጡኝ፡፡ እርቦኝ ስለነበር እሱን ያለማቅማማት በልቼ እስርን ተቀላቀልኩ፡፡<\/div>\n

Our afternoon tea break time is at 3pm. That day, I was having a long conversation over the phone during our tea break. But I had to cut short my phone conversation and returned back to the office because the tea break was over. I have a very nice boss. He is so enabling that we even have lots of unexecuted plans in our mechanical engineering section. Even though it’s only four month since I got promoted to this office, I find my boss very kind person with whom I had positive collegial relation full of mutual understanding. <\/p>\n

While I was having a work related conversation with my boss in my office, two strange people came and take me out of the office mentioning that they have something to talk to me. I had both my Facebook and twitter accounts open on my computer even though they we<\/span>re<\/span> idle.<\/p>\n

While walking out with these young strangers, I had a glance over my boss. One can easily read his confusion from his face. I assumed that the guys will let me go once they talked to me on the corridor. But, once I left the office, they ordered me to walk down the stairs. It by then, that I began to understand and realize, what is happening. I noticed that my boss was seeing me off while I was walking down the stairs. I lost sight of this kind man when I finished the stairs and never seen him since then. I saw two cars outside of the building. Except the two uniformed police men who were sitting in the cars, I was escorted by seven civil-wearing security people. They took away the Ethiopian Airlines employees ID that I have which is used as a pass and we left the compound. Then they ordered that we go to my house.<\/p>\n

The lady who rent me the house was really shocked when she saw me being escorted by all these people. I was not surprised. I can imagine how she would feel when she saw her tenant who never bothered her even once is being surrounded by the police. It was past 6pm so it was getting dark. When I opened my door they asked me for the power plug and I showed them. Immediately they plugged in their camera light and started video recording. While they were searching, they found two plastic bags under my bed and they pulled it very suspiciously. They must have thought that they found a leaflet to be disseminated. When they opened the plastic bags they found books. They picked some books. It was a quick search. <\/p>\n

That morning, I prepared egg for my breakfast. But I didn’t have the appetite so I didn’t eat it. Having a very busy day at the office, I was very exhausted and very hungry. I recalled the egg I prepared in the morning but I couldn’t eat it. I left it as it is and escorted to Maekelawi with the guys. In another day my sister found that breakfast I prepared when she went to my house to move my stuff. <\/p>\n

While we were heading to Maekelawi, the security guys were talking to me. “How can you do this while you have such a nice job …” I returned to them that I did not commit any crime. I saw Natty and Atnaf when I get to Maekelawi. I feel relieved. They took me to a room where there were other prisoners. The prisoners asked me some questions about me. We understood each other. They offered me a cold shiro. Since I was very hungry I ate it without any hesitation and joined a prisoner’s life.<\/p>\n
