That Friday morning I spent an hour on updating myself on Twitter and entered office at 8:30 AM. Since I was a new employee, I spend much of my time in understanding my job’s description. After I ate my lunch, I skyped with Soli.  In the afternoon, a colleague came and informed me that the salary is released and there is also a new incremental change in our salary. My colleagues shared their happiness with me and congratulated me for being a staff at this time. Around 4 PM a friend of mine, who is my school friend years ago and who now said he is working as security agent for the government, called and asked me to meet him. I hang up the call by letting him  know that I will call him back. Before I get off from work, I called to my friend and agreed to meet around National Theater at Haron Cafe. I had a brief skyping with Soli and informed her about the incremental change in our salary and had an appointment with her to talk through twitter when I get home. Lastly, I twitted a quote from Eskinder’s writing, and then, I got off from work. While I was in my way to meet my friend, my friend- the security agent-called me. I informed him about my appointment because he insisted I agreed to meet at Tafac\u2019h Cafe.  <\/span><\/div>\n

When I arrived at the Caf\u00e9, he was not around.  He came after 30 minutes. he was sweating. (Btw this person was a good friend of mine with whom I had good times for the last two years, I had always considered him as a friend)  I asked him about his pregnant wife and he answered that she is doing good. Yet, from his face I learned that he was disturbed.  Before he finished his Macchiato, he wanted to pay the bill and go. When I scanned the surrounding, I saw another security agent, who had been contacting me and suspected that there is something going on. In meantime, Soli called me and when I try to talk with her a bit away from him, he followed me as if he is also speaking through phone.  So, I informed Soli that I will call her back and hang up the phone.( At that time, I did not know that Soli was aware of the crackdown and she called me to check the situation I am in.) <\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

 When I crossed the main traffic road, after finished talking to him, a car closed my way and two security agents-who look liked like gang of robbers- asked me to enter into the car. But I denied. One of them wringed my hand and forced me in the direction of the car. They forced me to enter the car in the backseat in the middle of two of them. I remembered that my school friend used to drive this car.<\/span><\/div>\n

The car was very dirty, so us my detainers. There were three security agents in the car, who sweated as if they spent the whole day as daily laborers. The guy, who sat nearby the driver, asked me “Edi, how are you doing?”. I remained silent. He tried to cool me down by saying that they want to talk to me at the police station and I will be released sooner.I asked them to call to my family but they denied me and confiscated my phone. It was around 6:50 PM when we arrived at Me’akelawi. I went through regular registration, submitted all my belonging materials, and investigated while I was naked. When I joined the women inmates, they gave me night close and a dinner. After few hours, we heard footsteps and when I saw through a hole, I saw mahlet being taken to another room. Then, for the first time since I get detained I cried. I was stressed by thinking of what my family would think of my disappearance and did not able to sleep the whole night. <\/span>

አርብ<\/span> እለት መስሪያ ቤቴ ጎተራ ስደርስ 1.30 አካባቢ ነው በዚያ ጠዋት ቢሮ መግባት ስላልፈለኩ ለአንድ ሰአት ያህል ትዊተር ላይ ወሬ ስለቃቅም ቆየሁና 2.30 ላይ ቢሮ ገባሁ ፡፡ ጠዋቱ የተለየ ስራ የለውም ነበር የእቅድ ዶክመንቶች ማገላበጥ የስልጠና ዝግጅት እና የመሳሰሉትን ስሰራ ቆየሁ ፡፡ አዲስ ሰራተኛ ስለሆንኩ ብዙውን ጊዜዬን የስራውን ባህሪይ ለማወቅ ነው የማጠፋው ፡፡ ምሳዬን ከበላሁ በኋላ የምሳ እረፍት እስኪያልቅ ከሶሊ ጋር ስካይፕ አወራን፡፡  ከሰአት በኋላ አንዲት የስራ ባልደረባዬ መጥታ ደሞዝ መውጣቱን እና አዲስ ጭማሪ መኖሩን ነገረችኝ ፡፡ አዲስ ደሞዝ ጭማሪ ላይ መጣሽ እድለኛ ነሽ እያሉኝ በደስታ የተሞላ የቢሮ ካባቢ ላይ ስንሳሳቅ ቆየን፡፡  10 ሰአት አካባቢ አንድ ከአመታት በፌት ትምህርት ቤት የማውቀው ከቅርብ ጊዜ ወዲህ ግን የደህንነት ሰራተኛ ነኝ እያለ የሚያዋራኝ ወዳጄ ደወለልኝ፡፡ በዚያን ሰሞን በዞን9 አባላት ጓደኞቼ ላይ አንድመሰክር አንደ ጓደኛ አንደመምከር አንደደህንነት በማስጠንቀቅ ሲያባብለኝ ከርሟል፡፡  አንገናኝ ሲለኝ መልሼ እደውልልሃለሁ ብዬው ዘጋሁት ፡፡ ከዚያ አንዲት ሴት ጓደኛዬን ከቢሮ ከመውጣቴ በፌት የት አንደሆነች ጠይቄያት ብሄራዊ አካባቢ መሆኗን ስትነግረኝ ሃሮ ካፌ አንገናኝ ብያት ዘጋሁት ፡፡ ስካይ ላይ ከሶሊ ጋር ስለደሞዝ ጭማሪ እና የመሳሰሉት አውርተን ማታ እቤት ስገባ ትዊተር ላይ እናወራለን ብያት ተሰነባብተን ከቢሮ ለመውጣት ተዘጋሁ፡፡ ከመውጣቴ በፌት የእስክንድር ጽሁፎች ስብስብ ከሆነው ፒዲኤፍ ላይ ቀንጭቤ ትዊተር ላይ ለጥፌ መውጣቴ ትዝ ይለኛል፡ እየወጣሁ እያለ ደህንነቱ ጓደኛዬ ድጋሚ ደውሎ አንገናኝ አለኝ ፣ ብሄራዊ እየሄድኩ አንደሆነ እና ሰው አንደቀጠርኩ እዛ ከመጣ አንደማገኘው ነግሬው ዘጋሁት፣ ሃሮን አላውቀውም ብሎ ጣፋጭ ካፌ ልንገናኝ ተስማማሁ፡፡ <\/p>\n

ወዲያው ልሂድ ብሎ ወጣ ጣፋጭ በር ላይ ተሰነባበትን ፡፡ ወዲያው አስፓልቱን ስሻገር አንድ መኪና መንገድ ዘጋብኝና ሁለት ተራ ወንበዴዎች የመሰሉ ሰዎች አንድገባ አዘዙኝ፡፡ አልገባም አልኩኝ ፡፡አንደኛው እጄን ጠምዝዞ አስገድዶ ወደመኪናው መራኝ ያኔ መከራከሩ እንደማያወጣ ገባኝ፡፡ ከኋላ አስገብተውኝ ግራና ቀኝ ተቀመጡ፡፡ መኪናዋን ይኸው የትምህርት ቤት ወዳጄ ይዟት እንዳየሁ አስታወስኩ፡። ቆሻሻና ዳሽ ቦርድ የሌላት  መኪና ናት፡። ከነሹፌሩ የቀን ስራ ሲሰሩ ውለው ያላባቸው የሚመስሉ ሶስት ወጣቶች አሉ፡፡ ጋቢና ያለው ወጣት “ኤዲ አንዴት ነሽ ?” አለኝ ጸጥ አልኩኝ፡፡ ፓሊስ ጣቢያ ለጉዳይ አንደፈለጉኝ እና ቶሎ አንደምለቀቅ ተናግሮ ሊያረጋጋኝ ሞከረ፡፡  ሹፌሩ ያለምንም ማቅማማት ጥቁር አንበሳ እና ባንኮዲሮማ ህንጻ ጋር ያሉትን መብራቶች እየጣሰ ጉዞ ወደፒያሳ ሆነ፣ ምን እነዳጣደፈው እንጃ ።። ቤተሰቦቼ ጋር አንድደውል ይፈቀድልኝ ብልም ስልኬን ወስደው ፍቃደኛ ሳይሆኑ ቀሩ ፡፡ ማአከላዊ ስንደርስ 12.50 አካባቢ ሆኗል፡፡ መደበኛ ምዝገባ ተደርጎልኝ ንብረቶቼን አስረከብኩ ፣ እርቃኔን ከሆንኩ በኋላ ቁጭ ብድግ እያልኩ ሰውነቴ ሁሉ ተፈትሿል፡፡ ከታሰሩ ሴቶች ጋር ስቀላቀል እራትና የሌሊት ልብስ ሰጡኝ፡። ከጥቂት ሰአታት በኋላ የእግር ኮቴ ስንሰማ ተሽቀዳድመን በቀዳዳ ስናይ ማህሌትን ወደ ሌላ ክፍል ሲያስገቧት አየሁ ፡፡ ያኔ ለመጀመሪያ ጊዜ አለቀስኩ ፡፡ ቤተሰቦቼ ልጃችን ምን ዋጣት ብለው አንዴት አንደሚነጋላቸው እየተጨነኩ ነጋ፡፡ <\/p>\n

That Friday morning I spent an hour on updating myself on Twitter and entered office at 8:30 AM. Since I was a new employee, I spend much of my time in understanding my job’s description. After I ate my lunch, I skyped with Soli.  In the afternoon, a colleague came and informed me that the salary is released and there is also a new incremental change in our salary. My colleagues shared their happiness with me and congratulated me for being a staff at this time. Around 4 PM a friend of mine, who is my school friend years ago and who now said he is working as security agent for the government, called and asked me to meet him. I hang up the call by letting him  know that I will call him back. Before I get off from work, I called to my friend and agreed to meet around National Theater at Haron Cafe. I had a brief skyping with Soli and informed her about the incremental change in our salary and had an appointment with her to talk through twitter when I get home. Lastly, I twitted a quote from Eskinder’s writing, and then, I got off from work. While I was in my way to meet my friend, my friend- the security agent-called me.
