The album is named after a small town in Gonder, the region where Aster where born. The Ethiopian diva released a new single, &#8220;Checheho&#8221;, a month prior to the launch of the album, which contains 13 other songs.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4918\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\" style=\"width: 580px\"><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-4918\" href=\"http:\/\/addisnegeronline.com\/2010\/12\/aster-aweke-to-release-new-album-today\/img_94081\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-4918\" title=\"IMG_94081\" src=\"http:\/\/addisnegeronline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/IMG_94081-570x396.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"570\" height=\"396\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Like Teddy Afro, Aster chose the wall of Assay School on Bole road to advertise her new album<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The album was recorded on the singer&#8217;s own label, Kabu Records, which she founded in 1999. \u00a0&#8221;Hagere&#8221; was her first album produced under this label. The record label also presented &#8220;Sugar&#8221; (2002), &#8220;Aster Ballads&#8221; (2004) and &#8220;Fekir&#8221; (2006).
