As the news broke, twitter went into hot discussion among people who support and reject the President\u2019s decision. Ethiopians also took part in the discussion. Ethiopia, a country itself criminalized \u2018homosexuality acts\u2019 in its penal code for many decades, has a large community who blindly rejects the discussions on topics of sexuality let alone legalizing it. <\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';\">Many of the tweets were reflected after Ethiopian Minister of Women, Children and Youth Affairs, Zenebu Tadesse, who broke the silence <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ZenebuTadesse\/status\/437967570789232640\">tweeting<\/a>: <\/span><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"tr_bq\">\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><b><span style=\"background-color: white;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';\">There is no place for hate, discrimination in my beloved Africa. It&#8217;s not Governments&#8217; business to make dress code or anti-gay laws. #Uganda.<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';\">Many applauded her tweet; however, a few questioned whether the tweet is her opinion or her government\u2019s position.
